As a photographer with a passion for capturing the essence of boho vibes, I had the pleasure of organizing a photoshoot that embodied everything bohemian. Honestly we wanted to take on the classic “white dress with cowboy boots in a field” shoot but make it actually legit. The combination of cowboy and feminine elements created a unique aesthetic that was both casual and stylish. TBH we nailed this shoot. 

We began the shoot with our model posing in a stunning white dress that flowed effortlessly in the wind. The dress was the perfect embodiment of the bohemian style, with its delicate lace detailing and flowing silhouette. We paired the dress with a pair of cowboy boots, adding a touch of edginess to the overall look.

As the shoot progressed, we incorporated more cowboy elements, including a distressed denim jacket and a wide-brimmed hat. These pieces added a rugged yet stylish feel to the shoot, which perfectly complemented the boho vibe we were trying to capture.

Throughout the shoot, we made sure to focus on capturing the model's natural beauty and effortless style. We used natural lighting to enhance the soft, feminine feel of the shoot, while also playing with shadows to add depth and character.

In the end, the photoshoot was a huge success, perfectly capturing the bohemian spirit that we were striving for. The combination of boho, cowboy, and feminine elements came together in a way that was both stylish and casual, creating a look that was truly unique and captivating.

When we originally talked about this photoshoot I knew I wanted it to be in an orchard during the Summer. It was a beautiful day with the sun shining bright and the open sky providing the perfect backdrop for our pictures. But before we could start taking photos, we had to go through the process of location scouting.

We scoured the nearby area to find the perfect orchard to shoot in. After a bit of searching, we found the ideal location - a vast field of trees with the perfect lighting. Obviously we made sure we had permission to be there before we got started.

Once we got the all-clear, we set up our equipment (me and the model) and got to work. The lighting was just right, and the orchard provided an excellent backdrop for our pictures. We made sure to use proper lighting at our location to capture the beauty of the trees and the surrounding nature.

As we snapped away, we couldn't help but feel like we were in a dream. The orchard was so serene and peaceful, and we were lucky enough to capture its beauty in our photos. We took advantage of every angle and every opportunity to get the perfect shot.

As the day went on, the sun started to set, casting a warm glow over the orchard. It was the perfect end to a perfect day. We packed up our equipment (me and the model), feeling satisfied with all the amazing shots we captured. It was a day we would never forget.

Oh, let me tell you about the importance of professional hair styling for a photoshoot! As a photographer with lots of experience, I’ve seen it all. And let me tell you, there’s nothing worse than having a model’s hair lose its shape halfway through a shoot. That’s where professional hair stylists come in.

I once had a photoshoot with a model who had wavy curls. She was stunning, but her curls just wouldn’t stay put. Luckily, I now ensure to hire a professional stylist who always knows exactly what to do. They use the right products and tools to give every model’s curls some longevity. And let me tell you, their hair always looks just as amazing at the end of the shoot as it did at the beginning.

Stylists know how to keep your hair curled, straightened, or styled in any way that you want. They have the experience and knowledge to make sure your hair stays put, no matter what you’re doing. This is especially important during a photoshoot, where the model needs to look their best at all times.

If you know anything about photography then you know that the quality of light is crucial to capturing that perfect shot. So, obviously I scouted out the perfect location ahead of time to make sure I had the right kind of outdoor lighting.

I found the perfect spot with plenty of ambient light. The open sky provided a soft, diffused light that was perfect for my subject. But I knew that backlit lighting would add an extra dimension to the photos. I knew that when I positioned the model with the sun behind her,  I would be creating a beautiful halo effect.

Of course, I also had to take into account the harshness of the sun. I made sure that Presley was in the shade, avoiding any harsh sun that would cast unflattering shadows. Instead, I used the soft lighting to my advantage, capturing the natural beauty of my subject in a way that was both flattering and authentic.

In the end, the photoshoot was a rousing success. The outdoor lighting was just right, and I was able to capture some truly stunning shots. As a photographer, there's nothing quite like the thrill of capturing the perfect moment in just the right light.

When it came to makeup for this outdoor photoshoot I knew that I wanted a soft, glowy, feminine look. But trust me when I say I have seen it all when it comes to makeup for a photoshoot. Some clients show up with barely any makeup on while others come in with a full face of makeup, and let me tell you, it makes a huge difference. That's why I always stress the importance of professional makeup for a photoshoot.

First and foremost, professional makeup has longevity. When you're shooting for hours on end, you don't want your makeup fading or smudging halfway through the shoot. Professional makeup artists use high-quality products and techniques to ensure that your makeup stays put throughout the day.

I love to use a flexible hold hairspray to ensure that the hair still has movement and bounce. Overall, the perfect hair for any photoshoot is one that exudes confidence and effortless style, and these loose, beachy waves are the perfect way to achieve that look.
