That afternoon, you’ll put business theory into practice during your first shootout. You’ll focus on what happens before and during a photoshoot that makes everything after it more efficient — learning how to avoid overshooting, find and use the light for creamy skin tones, and direct confidently so you get what you need in fewer frames.
Our instructors will guide you through real-time challenges at each station so you can master lighting, posing, and flow for maximum impact and minimal computer time later. -

Elevate Your Shooting and Workflow
Now that your foundation is strong, Day Two is all about refining your creative and technical process. You’ll learn to incorporate movement and energy into your posing — because today’s teens want imagery that feels natural, alive, and full of personality.
You’ll also discover how to run efficient wardrobe consultations, even if you don’t have a style closet, ensuring every client arrives prepared and your shoot day flows smoothly.In class, you’ll transition into hands-on laptop work: editing, culling, and optimizing your post-production. You’ll explore batch editing techniques, choosing and applying presets that fit your brand, and how proper lighting on shoot day leads to faster, more consistent editing results.
You’ll also get a sneak peek into Lightroom workflow efficiency — this won’t be a demo; it’ll be interactive, practical, and immediately applicable. -

Practice With Purpose
During the second shootout, you’ll bring everything together — lighting, posing, and storytelling — while practicing with guided prompts and challenges. The focus will be on creating cohesive images that look effortless but are rooted in intentional direction and technical control.

The final day ties it all together. You’ll learn exactly what to do after the session — how to conduct a live in-person sales meeting that feels natural and genuine, and how to prepare clients in advance so they’re ready to invest in your work.
You’ll develop strategies to sell more without feeling “salesy,” and to increase profits while still providing an incredible client experience.We’ll also focus on longevity — how to protect your creativity, avoid burnout, and design systems that let you spend less time behind your computer and more time doing what you love.
Throughout every shootout, you’ll take part in challenges that test and strengthen what you’ve learned, while your instructors are right there to help you troubleshoot, refine, and grow.

I signed up, what’s next?
We can’t wait to have you! You will receive all the details including the exact locations, hotel and airport recommendations and details about 3 months before.
How much shoot time will we get?
You will have 1-1 shoot time with every single model at all 3 shootouts. No fighting for the shots, awkward semi-circles or leaving feeling discouraged about what you captured. These will likely be the most organized shootouts you have ever attended!
Do I need to have photography experience?
We recommend you have a basic understanding of your camera and settings before attending the conference so you can get the most out of your shooting time. We welcome photographers of all levels to come + grow together!
What is included?
Participants are responsible for their own travel, accommodations, transportation and meals. We will provide education, speakers and amazing models!
Who should come?
If you specialize in high school senior photography OR want to - this is for you! If you need a boost in your shooting skills, are looking to expand your portfolio, improve your styling or style closet, add editorial posing to your images - this is for you! If you want to connect with other photographers who are as passionate about this business - this is for you! If you feel like you’re established in your business but just want to have fun, shoot and try new things - this is for you!
Do I have to sign up for the bright light class?
No, it is optional! But it will be amazing! If the thought of starting a shoot at 12pm in the Summer gives you a pit in your stomach, you may need it : )
